Sustainability Manager

Background

Corporate demand for trained professionals in the area of sustainability is on the rise in view of an increasingly complex regulatory environment. For instance, under the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz; LkSG), effective since January 2023, companies of a certain size are required to employ a designated officer in charge of corporate due diligence in the supply chains.

The Sustainability Management Course, offered by our partner CSI in cooperation with htw saar and sikos GmbH, is designed to equip participants with the know-how and practical skills to take up this role in their organisations and meet the new regulatory requirements. Upon completion, participants will be awarded with an official certificate issued by htw saar.

Content

The 80-hour course provides an in-depth understanding of due diligence requirements and how to apply them in the real world, in order to reduce risk and ensure sustainable business operations to the benefit of the people, the company, and the environment.

The course covers sustainability principles, business and supply chain management, CSR, environmental and climate protection, legal requirements, and more. Course contents can be flexibly tailored to meet the needs of specific industries, companies and organisations.
