We were thrilled to welcome Florian Hess, Executive Board Member of Spielwarenmesse eG, back to Hong Kong on the occasion of the Spielwarenmesse Dialogue 2023. As the official representative of Spielwarenmesse in Hong Kong, GIC supported his visit by organising pivotal meetings with major stakeholders in Hong Kong’s toy industry.

A highlight was an engaging lunch meeting on 27 November with representatives from the Hong Kong Toy Council and the Toy Manufacturer’s Association of Hong Kong. The discussions were insightful, underlining the importance of collaborative efforts within the industry. The momentum continued on 28 November with the annual Spielwarenmesse Dialogue event, held at the Mira Hong Kong, where we welcomed over 20 distinguished guests from various sectors, including industry players, associations, and press. Florian shared insights into the global toy industry, with a special focus on European market trends.

The event was a success, marked by long-missed face-to-face interactions and a lively Q&A session following Florian’s presentation. We are proud to have been part of this enriching exchange and look forward to facilitating more such opportunities in the future!
